After being back for almost two years, Bolinao is still as charming as ever.
On our way to Bolinao. Definitely missed being on the road!
After a 6-7 hour long drive, we finally made it to Puerto del Sol! Way back two years ago, this is where we also stayed at and to be quite honest with you, its one of the nicest resorts in the North that we’ve tried. They have nice and clean facilities, friendly and hospitable staff and did I mention they have breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets?
They have different types of rooms but we stayed at one of the rooms at Sitio Amore.
I definitely missed this place!
Sitio Amore’s infinity pool.
We stayed in one of these rooms!
We immediately made our way to the beach once we got settled down.
One thing I really love about the beach in Puerto del Sol is you get to walk and swim without the pain of stepping on a dead coral lmao. Generally, the nearest area of the ocean closer to the shore is shallow but the resort warns people about the break water several meters away from the shore because the area where the break water is is very deep.
Another thing that you’ll definitely love about Bolinao is its amazing view of the sunset! Sucks tho because during the whole duration of our trip, it was too cloudy so we didn’t really get to see the sunset.
Despite not having a clear view of the sunset, the sky was still pretty.
On the next day, we decided to go visit Patar beach and Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.
To be quite honest, I wasn’t really expecting anything special from Patar beach other than it has been tagged as the “Little Boracay of the North” so of course, I was already expecting white sand and clear blue waters but the moment we arrived there, the view took my breath away!
During the first day of our trip, I thought that maybe this season wasn’t the best time to go to Bolinao but going to Patar beach made me think otherwise. The waves made the view 10x more great!
There were also a lot of rock formations in this place.
On the right side of this photo, you’ll notice an observation deck. We went up there to get a more scenic view of the waves. totally did not disappoint!
The waves were both scary and beautiful at the same time.
We bid farewell to Patar beach and went to Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.
Now on our third and last day, we just decided to chill around the resort.
And before we know it, the sun was already setting.
Bye, Bolinao! ’till next time!
